Registration/Login
Registration is FREE. You must register to create a listing with Mom2MomSwap.com.
- Click on Login/Register on the bottom menu.
- Click "Create Account"
- Fill in the required fields. Your name and email will not be shared. The Username will be visible on the site.
- Click "Register"
- A message will appear confirming your registration. You will need to activate your membership by clicking on the activation link sent to the email address provided.
Submitting a Listing
Submitting a listing is easy and best of all...free! You must register to create your listing. This allows you to easily add, edit, update and delete your listings at any time. Click here for registration help.
- Click "Add Listing" from the bottom menu.
- The Add Listing form will appear. Complete the following fields:

Category |
Click "Change Category" to choose the appropriate place for your item. Are you selling or looking to buy? Click to highlight your choice. The subcategories will now appear. Choose the best category for your item and then click "update category". If you would like to assign it to another category as well (i.e., it is a book and a baby item), you can click on "Change Category" again, then click "<Back" to see the list of subcategories again. Choose your second category choice and click to highlight it. Then click on "Also appear in this category". At the top of the screen you should see your selected categories for your item. (i.e., Directory>Items for Sale or Swap>books and baby items. |

Title |
The next column asks what you are selling or looking to buy (the name of the item). This is the title and should be a proper name or a brief descriptive title for your item (i.e., Toddler Slide by Fisher Price) |

City, Province, Country & Postal/Zip Code |
You are not asked for your street address but we do request your City, Province, Country and Postal Code for plotting your listing on the map. You may provide as much or as little information here as you are comfortable with. These are not required fields. This information is used to plot your listing on a map so that people can determine how far away you are if they want to arrange for shipping or meeting to purchase or sell the item. ***You can provide only the first 3 letters of your postal code if you do not want to show your exact location -this will give a good indication of your location in a more private way. |

Telephone |
Provide your telephone # if you wish it to be displayed on your ad. Otherwise, leave it blank. |

Enter your email address. When a visitor clicks "Contact Owner" on your listing, an email form pops up for them to contact you. Your email address is not visible on this form. You will receive an email and if you are interested in responding to them, your email will be seen by them on your return email. If you are not interested in contacting them, simply delete the email. |

Price |
Enter your asking price. If you enter a price of zero, your item will be marked "FREE" |

Willing to swap? |
Select Yes if you are willing to swap for other items. |

What types of items are you looking for if accepting a swap? |
Give an idea of the type of items you would be interested in swapping for (i.e., toys for older age groups, perhaps you are moving on to a new stage and want to sell your baby toys for toys for your older children). |

Website |
If you have a related website where you buy,sell, or swap items you may link to it here. |

Tags |
Tags are keywords that describe what you are selling or looking for that will help your ad to be found. For example, if you are selling maternity clothing, you may put the following tags: maternity, clothing, pregnancy, women, for sale, affordable, Mississauga, Ontario. |

Image |
Images are highly recommended. People want to see what you are selling and that is the best way to show how great your item is. Images should be in jpg, png or bmp format. If you have problems uploading pictures, please try the following:

File |
You may upload a file to be included with your listing in .pdf format. This may be a brochure, flyer, instruction manual, etc. Large files may not be permitted. |

Map |
Click on "Locate in Map" to show your location on the Google Map as it will be displayed with your listing. The more information you have provided in the address section of the form, the more specific your location will be on the map. The location information is used to allow for searches within a particular location and radius and to provide directions and driving distance information for arranging to ship or meet to finalize sales/swaps. |

Images |
Listings with images are the most successful. Visitors want to see what you are offering and including images with your listing will provide the most accurate picture of your item. This section of the form allows you to upload additional images for alternate views of your item |
Responding to a Listing
To respond to a listing, click on the title to see the full Details view of the listing. Below the listing details (Location, Price, etc.), you will see a box where you can choose to Recommend, Print, Contact Owner, Visit (if applicable) or Report.
Recommending a listing allows you to email a friend the details of the listing.
Printing allows you to print a copy of the listing.
Contact Owner allows you to send an email to the owner to inquire or make an offer.
Visit allows you to visit the website associated with this item.
Report is used for reporting an inappropriate, or unlawful listing.
Searching the Listings
To browse the listings, click on "need it" for items that are being sought, or "find it" for items that are for sale/swap.
To conduct a search for a specific item, click "Search" from the bottom menu. This brings up the Advanced Search form. You may search by category, title, description, price, etc. The Postal/Zip Code Search function allows you to enter your Postal/Zip Code and search for listings within a set radius. Click search to display your results.
Suggesting a New Category
Suggestions for new categories can be made by clicking on "Suggestions" from the bottom menu or by contacting us by phone or email.
Editing/Updating your LIsting
Login by clicking on "Login/Register" on the bottom menu. You will automatically be redirected to your "My Page". Click the Edit link next to the Ad you would like to change. You can now make any changes, upload new pictures, etc.
Deleting your Listing
Login by clicking on "Login/Register" on the bottom menu. You will be automatically redirected to your "My Page". Click on the title of your listing and you will open your full detailed listing page. On this page you will see the "Delete" button. Click this button to delete your ad. You may want to delete your ad because you have sold or swapped the item, are no longer looking for the item or you have changed your mind about selling/swapping/buying that item.
